The fjord of Trondheim has a rich marine life, with both southern and northern species; More than 140 species have been observed and at least 90 of these are fish, and the fjord has the largest biological production among Norway’s fjords.

   The most common species you can get here are Cod, Saithe, Lyre, Longeling, Halibut, Whiting, Lysing, Flounder, Plaice, Mackerel, Herring, Salmon, Sea Trout, Catfish, Redfish and Marulk (“sea devil”)
