As a living replica of the 12th-century Haltdalen stave church, it carries both the medieval spirit and our contemporary longing for the eternal. Hand-carved plank by plank, raised by the local community through volunteer work, support and genuine love for heritage&#8217;s beauty. The second, built by master Ole Johnsen Hindrum around 1665, stood faithfully until 1897. When the Hindrem Stave Church Association was founded in 2003, it wasn&#8217;t merely building enthusiasm that drove them \u2013 it was a deeper urge to revive what was lost. Consecrated September 9, 2012, by Bishop Tor Sings\u00e5s, with 300 souls gathered in prayer and joy. Today the church opens its doors for weddings, baptisms, funerals and concerts \u2013 where every moment becomes sacred, and every visit must be arranged in advance to preserve the church&#8217;s peace and
