Po stronie p\u00f3\u0142nocnej znajduj\u0105 si\u0119 spokojne wsie, w tym Hindrum i Vanvikan, bezpo\u015brednio nad wod\u0105.\n<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><em>\nFiord otaczaj\u0105 tereny rolnicze i strome zbocza. W jego obr\u0119bie le\u017c\u0105 wyspy Ytter\u00f8ya i Tautra. Wyst\u0119puj\u0105 tu zar\u00f3wno gatunki po\u0142udniowe, jak i p\u00f3\u0142nocne, tworz\u0105c stabilny i zr\u00f3\u017cnicowany ekosystem.\n<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><em>\nW g\u0142\u0119bszych partiach udokumentowano koralowce zimnowodne (Lophelia pertusa), co wskazuje na dobre i trwa\u0142e warunki \u015brodowiskowe.\n<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><em>\nDo fiordu uchodz\u0105 wa\u017cne rzeki \u0142ososiowe \u2013 Gaula, Orkla, Stj\u00f8rdalselva i Verdalselva. S\u0105 znane z silnych populacji \u0142ososia i d\u0142ugiej tradycji w\u0119dkarstwa sportowego.\n<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><em>\nW wodach fiordu wyst\u0119puj\u0105 m.in. dorsz, czarniak, plamiak, halibut, makrela, \u015bled\u017a, morszczuk, fl\u0105dra, g\u0142adzica, pstr\u0105g morski, z\u0119bacz, karmazyn i \u017cabnica. Wyst\u0119powanie oraz skuteczno\u015b\u0107 po\u0142ow\u00f3w zale\u017c\u0105 od g\u0142\u0119boko\u015bci, pr\u0105d\u00f3w i pory
