Hindrum Fjordsenter has a small number of bikes available for guests who want to explore the surrounding area at a relaxed pace. The bikes suit short rides on local roads and easier stretches where surface, weather and skill level make it appropriate.
You can start from Hindrum Fjordsenter and follow local roads toward Amborneset, Seter and Borgen. This is a simple guest option — a few bikes, local roads, your own pace — not a guided or commercial cycling service.
Amborneset and Borgen as destinations
Amborneset is a natural short destination from Hindrum Fjordsenter, with fjord-side landscape close to the area where the Viking burial mounds at Amborneset tell of older settlement and local history. A gentle ride with short stops along the way.
For a longer outing, Borgen can work where conditions allow. Local tradition connects Borgen to an ancient hill fort from the Migration Period, and parts of the area connect naturally with the Fairytale Trail. Some sections are better on foot — assess the surface, weather and your own level before setting out.
