    The nearest mountain lakes are about 1-2 hours on foot from the fjord center. Otherwise you can drive to “Storvatnet” and rent a boat. Of fresh water fish, it is mostly trout you can get.

   The most sought after perhaps is the trout. Other common species include whitefish, pike, perch, salmon and char. This gives you the opportunity to try different fishing experiences depending on the location and season.

   Spring and summer are typically high season, but some places also offer fantastic ice fishing in winter.
